Pastor Steve Brown grew up in Rocky Mount, N.C., the third child of seven children.  As a child, he accepted Christ and was baptized at his home church, North Rocky Mount Baptist.  After completing high school, he graduated from Wayne Community College with an A.A.S. degree in Fish and Wildlife Management before continuing his education at Campbell University where he graduated with a B. S. in Biology.  Steve served 29 years as a science teacher at South Granville High School before retiring in 2008.  As Steve neared retirement, he acted on the call to ministry he had felt years earlier by enrolling at Campbell University Divinity School.  While a divinity student, Steve began serving as youth pastor at Enon, and became pastor on July 1, 2012.  Steve and his wife, Edna, live in Creedmoor N.C.  Together, they are the parents of 3 children and have 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.    In his spare time, Steve enjoys backpacking, camping, fishing, and is a student of guitar and old-time clawhammer banjo.  He is a member of MuleTown, a local, popular bluegrass band.
